Access to Information

The Law on Freedom of Information in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina “Official Gazette of Federation of BiH”, No. 32/01

This law regulates access to information held by public bodies in order to:

  1. Determine whether information under control of public body is a significant public good and whether public access to information promotes greater transparency and accountability of public bodies, which is essential to the democratic process,

  2. Determine whether any natural or legal person is entitled to access this information to the greatest extent possible, in accordance with the public interest, and whether public bodies  have a corresponding obligation to report such information,

  3. Allow every natural person to request an amendment and to give comments on their personal information under the control of public bodies.
